Choreographer
received a BFA from the Juilliard School under the direction of Benjamin Harkarvy, and was awarded the Hector Zaraspe Prize for choreography. Peter performed for the Celine Dion show, “A New Day,” in Las Vegas. He has also danced with companies such as BJM_Danse, EzDanza, Aszure & Artists. Other notable projects include: dancing for megastars Elton John (Hurricane Katrina Benefit performance) and Bette Midler (press release), the Broadway workshop “One Love” produced by Franco Dragone and directed by Brian Burke, DANCES FOR A SMALL STAGE 18 produced by MovEnt, and feature role of Adam in the film “Adam and Leave” directed by Mark Swanhart. This past June, Peter premiered Crystal Pite’s, “a picture of you falling,” for the Canada Dance Festival in Ottawa, Ontario. Peter’s choreography and teaching style expresses his versatile movement and love for dance. He has created work for the Houston Metropolitan Dance Co., The Juilliard School summer dance program, High School of Visual Performing Arts in Houston, Booker T. Washington Performing Visual Arts in Dallas, and the Edge Scholarship show. He has also taught for the cast of Le Reve created by Franco Dragone, the cast of A New Day, LADF, Monsters of Contemporary, West Coast Dance Explosion, Dance Masters of America, the Edge, and for international dance festivals in Asia, Europe, and North America. Peter was both choreographer and dancer for the film Love Runs Red directed by Trevor John. In February 2007, Peter was given a residency at Southern Utah University where he created a work titled, “Smell Memory with 9.” This past June, Peter presented a full evening performance with his project base company, chuthis. , for the New Works Festival (Perry-Mansfield) in Steamboat Springs, CO. The chuthis.group has also performed for bottle night in San Diego, CA. He recently finished dancing and choreographing for the project, “ Çaturn,” which premiered in Montreal at theatre “Usine C” this past fall. He is currently enjoying his time working with Crystal Pite on her new Kidd Pivot show.
