Apprentice

Melanie Davis is from Allen, Texas and she graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in accounting. Melanie was a SHSU dance scholarship recipient for the 2004-2008 school years. She also spent the summer of 2006 in Chicago dancing on scholarship at Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. Melanie has performed works by Pattie Obey, Salim Gauwloos, jhon r. stronks, Jason McDole, Peter Chu, Kate Skarpetowska, Joe Celej and Kiki Lucas while at the Met. Her performances include Quirky Works, Mixing it Up, Dance Gallery Houston and at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) in New York. She also teaches at several studios in the Houston Area. This is her fourth season with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company.
