The company is known for bringing in nationally and internationally known choreographers such as Robert Battle, Kevin Wynn, Randy Duncan, Pattie Obey, Salim Gaulwoos and new and emerging choreographers such as Peter Chu, Kate Skarpetowska, Eddy Ocampo.

The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company also supports the work of Houston choreographers including Jane Weiner, Paola Georgudis, Mario Zambrano, Priscilla Nathan Murphy, jhon r. stronks and their own company choreographers Marlana Walsh-Doyle and Kiki Lucas.
